Joe Tribendis has 20 years of experience in corporate development, strategic planning, new business development, sales and marketing, and technology management. Prior to joining Ventura Group, he held management positions in several business units and corporate groups at Alcoa Inc.

As Manager of Corporate Development at Alcoa, he evaluated and negotiated acquisition, divestiture and joint venture transactions and participated in more than 100 acquisition and divestiture studies. He developed strategic options as well as identified and screened acquisition candidates and potential buyers in divestitures. Joe successfully led and closed domestic and international transactions (including China) involving both technology and traditional manufacturing businesses..

Joe served as Director of Technology Strategy and Planning at Alcoa. There he developed management processes that aligned technology strategies with business objectives. He oversaw several technology initiatives including a multi-million dollar internal venture fund.

He earned his BS in Materials Engineering from Drexel University and his MS and PhD from the Massachusetts Institute of Technology.

He is a past member of the Board of Directors of the Pittsburgh Chapter of the Association for Corporate Growth.
